How to investigate a forex provider before depositing
A polished website and familiar logo are not enough to identify the business receiving your money. Before considering a provider, establish the legal entity, its claimed regulator and whether the offered service matches its permissions.

Follow the legal name
Find the company name in the account agreement, not just the brand in an advertisement. Independently visit the relevant regulator’s register. NFA’s investor resources include access to BASIC for researching US derivatives and retail forex firms.
Compare the details
Check the registered address, contact details and website against the provider you are evaluating. Clone firms can borrow a genuine registration number. A link supplied by a salesperson is weaker evidence than navigating to the regulator yourself.
Keep a decision record
Save the agreement, fee schedule and withdrawal terms before any funding decision. Note unanswered questions rather than filling them with assumptions. Registration is a due-diligence input, not a guarantee of profit or an endorsement of a particular product. Requirements vary by jurisdiction, so a registration in one country does not automatically mean a firm may serve you where you live.
